Always have an interesting selection of beers on tap. I drop in when picking up fish and chips from Simpsons a two-minute walk away

Definitely the best beer and cider in Stroud, maybe even the world.
Always an awesome selection, always something new!

The selection of local beers is always good and the beer is well kept. There is a good amount of seating and more seating upstairs. It is also nice to be able to bring your own food/takeaway here.

Popped in for a drink, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and a good range of beers. More seating upstairs plus a roof terrace too,a great little find and a positive contribution to Stroud town centre.

Great and frequently varied ciders. Lots of seating over two levels. Cute little outdoor courtyard on the 1st floor for summer

Cracking little tap room with plenty of space upstairs too. Staff were really friendly both nights we went in and we're enthusiastic about the beers they served. Would absolutely pay them a visit if in Stroud again.

We had a great Sunday afternoon at the Town Owl Taphouse. We enjoyed the live music as part of Jazz Stroud, there was a fantastic atmosphere and it was nice to be able to bring in our daughter and dog to enjoy the band. We ordered a pizza delivery from the handy take away menus on the tables. All washed down with a delicious selection of craft ales on tap. Looking forward to returning when we’re next in Stroud.

One of a kind place in Stroud. Proper craft ale that isn't just run of the mill beer you can get anywhere. You can take in food as well, available from nearby fish and chips and Stroud Market. Plenty of seating and an outside space; which is perfect for those sunny days (where ever they are 😀).
3 stars given for food as you can take in food of your choosing, but there isn't a kitchen on premises.

My first visit yesterday (19th Jan) and impressed with the good range of beers, the vast majority of which are suitable for vegans.
Six colleagues from Bristol area joined me as part of their beer tour of the town, and enjoyed the offerings.
Excellent location, service and product, but disappointed that no downstairs toilet is available for the less able-bodied (my 81 year old friend really struggles on stairs) so had to deduct 1 star

No stars for food as they don't offer any, Stroud's latest beer offering no cask but typically an excellent array of kegged ale, Lost and Grounded Keller Pills seems to be the house lager which is no bad thing as it's superb. Never had anything I haven't liked and samples are freely offered. There's always an alcohol free beer on and a cider as well. It's nice to have a slightly different beer offering so local.
