Came for a Sunday roast to meet friends and this was a half way point for us. What a fabulous pub, lovely lunch, incredible service and super dog friendly…he even got his own roast dinner bowl!! Fantastic and we will be back.

Small atmospheric pub. Food was very nice. Sunday roast. Meat was excellent and veg good too. Beer was very nice. Service was a little slow but not too bad and we enjoyed the time dog watching. It is a very dog friendly pub even to the point of offering doggy dinners too. Would definitely go back. Parking: If busy the car park would fill very quickly and I'm not sure where else you could park really.

Friendly staff. Warm cozy atmosphere. I had Roast Lamb with veg. It was so good. I thought that it was brilliant that they even offer Doggy Dinner. For Dessert I had, Carrott Cake with Pistachio icing. It was presented so greatly I had to take a photo. It tasted so scrumptious. 😋 xXx

What a great pub! 11 of us walked in to an already busy pub wanting food (without booking), they opened up a separate room for us and we all got a great meal with friendly service.

Beautiful food, belly pork to die for, lovely veg, plenty of everything,, staff very friendly, would definitely recommend and go again,, thank you all..

A lovely historic pub with lots of old photos of Stroud and links to the Thames and Severn Canal, a one minute walk away.

Lovely pub with great garden. Very efficient and friendly staff, who have adapted very well to government safety guidelines. Roast was delicious, abundant and reasonably priced and our dog loved his doggy roast in his own personalised bowl. Would highly recommend!

We went because we were going to be in the area, wanted a Sunday roast and needed place that was dog friendly. Well, what can I say. Superb roast. Couldn't finish it so won't be having a starter next time :-) And Doodle, our miniature Dachshund loved, I said loved, her doggy roast.
