There's an amazing range of shops in this area. The cultural variation of products is good and there are plenty of quirky little shops that sell antiques, collectors items and retro/ vintage clothes or furniture. You can definitely buy gifts for people and not have to spend hundreds. There's a few tech shops with good deals as well. I got a few amazing deals on clothes in the charity shops so I recommend visiting them.
