My boiler would not stay lit so called them to resolve problem and for a service. Their engineer was on time, polite, explained everything and cleaned up after. Because of the problem I had to have several parts replaced and three visits. Each time I was kept up to date by the office of what was going on. By the end I was expecting a huge bill however their charge was less than I imagined and good value for the service I received. I would recommend them. Service: Heating system repair

Left voicemail for a callback. Return call almost immediate, than you. Unfortunately I was advised they are not taking on any new customers 🤔☹️. Great place to be in for a business! Gave 4 stars for the return call and honesty.

A plumber that now, I quote 'does not install or repair showers'. Arrogant and poor service, relying on local dominance and past reputation. To cut a long story short... after a 3 week wait, fitted a new thermostatic valve (that I was told to source myself by their engineer) for my shower, less than 12 months later faulty, called to ask someone to come out 2 times, each time no call back despite promises. Called 3rd time, told by rude office staff 'we no longer install or repair showers' and claimed to have no record of installing the thermostatic valve. Either the customer is making this up - or this company is unprofessional and / or dishonest, make up your own mind! Found an excellent local plumber who arrived following day, repaired the shower, and was surprised by the poor quality of the previous repair by DA Cook. I have since heard others talk of their poor experience with this company, both friends and tradespeople. AVOID

Just had our washing machine drain unblocked by your engineer.... excellent service, clean, quick and efficient. I understand DA Cook don't normally do drainage jobs, but the work was much appreciated given the current COVID-19 situation. Our home cover plumbing/drainage policy company wouldn't attend because it was not classed as an emergency, but your engineer completed the work within guidelines and entirely safely. We always use D A Cook for plumbing and boiler servicing and have never been disappointed. Thanks again.

We have used D A Cook to service our gas fire for a number of years. This year, for the first time since we've had it, the fire needed repairs in addition to the basic service. Several days after the service appointment we received a call to say that they couldn't supply the spare part (the fire isn't a make they deal with) and we would have to source it ourselves. When we asked how soon a repair could be done if we got the parts, next March was initially mentioned although they would 'see what they could do' to fit it in earlier. We found that parts were available online and asked for a call from the D A Cook engineer to check that we were sourcing the correct item. After a further silence and a week after the original visit, having heard nothing, we called again. This time the engineer did phone us back to say that even if we did obtain the part they would not fit it! This is the first time we have needed anything other than a service from D A Cooke and having been left in limbo for a week we now feel totally let down by them. We have now cancelled future service appointments for our fire and boiler and made other arrangements.

Have recently had a new bathroom installed and the end result is fantastic, you would never believe it is the same room! Excellent work at a good cost compared to other quotes I received. Definitely recommend and will be using them again for any future plumbing and heating works.

D A Cook have just completed the installation of 2 bathrooms and a new boiler with additional radiators. The work has been carried out to a very good standard, staff have been helpful and polite, I would highly recommend them.
