I’ve not been in Stroud for long but this shop, the history and story behind it, and Ry who now runs it, are in my opinion perfect examples of what Stroud is about. Over 100 independent makers are featured and supported here and all equally loved and respected by the shop owners. Granted, not everything in the shop is to my taste, but that just means there is something for everyone in there somewhere! Well worth a visit. An inspiring and friendly place that makes me want to create myself and get more involved in my new home of Stroud.

We had an incredibly rude encounter with whom we believe to be the owner of this shop yesterday. As we came to pay for the products we wished to purchase, following what we thought to be a friendly meeting with someone we soon found out to be an astonishingly rude and prejudice lady. The lady had given my little brother a box of trains to play with (which we thought was a lovely idea). My Dad jokingly asked if she offered a babysitting service, to which she then began to berate my parents and told them that ‘people shouldn’t have children if they’re not going to love them’. We have never been spoken to in such a manner, let alone by a stranger, who 1. Has no idea who we are or 2. Has no idea how much my little brother is loved. The comments this lady made did more harm than good, leaving my little brother outraged by the way she spoke to my parents and questioned whether my parents loved him, something he’s never had to question before. This unbelievably rude woman created her own pre-conception of who my parents were and, as a result, left us with a rather bitter taste of the lovely city we thought that Stroud was. She left us all shaken and incredibly upset by the obnoxious comments she made. I am in complete shock that someone can feel that entitled that they believe they can speak to another person in such a manner, and judging by other reviews, her entitled, prejudice manner is not uncommon. It is safe to say that we will not be returning to Made in Stroud and we advise that others don’t if they don’t want to experience the same thing we did.

Delightful shop, filled with carefully chosen handmade and stylish artisan products from Stroud and the surrounding area. Clare, Ry and the team are all very charming and everything you buy is carefully wrapped; Clare has even been known to post something for me. But this is far more than a shop – Made in Stroud is very much at the centre of our community here. Long may it reign!

I visit this shop in Stroud when I return to the town from Cornwall . I have watched it grow over the years . The manager Claire and her staff are amazing they will go to any lengths to help the customers. What an amazing wee shop .

This shop is full of absolutely gorgeous handmade goodies, situated in the beautiful Cotswolds, in Stroud town. Such a lovely shop! Staff are always so friendly and happy to help too 🙏🏼 Highly reccomend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been lucky enough to visit the Stroud shop in the past , but recently as I don’t live local I purchased online .. they hadn’t got one of the items I wanted and were amazing by sending me photos of alternate ones .. I made a choice and today arrived and I’m so pleased .. Ry has been such a pleasure to speak to via wats app .. Thank you .. I’ll be back …

Stroud royalty! Amazing shop packed with lovely stuff including everything from original prints by Dennis Gould, to local beers, spices, pottery, and so much more.

Had to post because I’m delighted someone stocks such fabulous local artisan goods in the Stroud area and the owner is not only extremely knowledgeable, she also cares deeply about people and the environment.

If you come to Stroud, and you should, you HAVE to come to this shop. First of all, Stroud’s farmer’s market is well known and highly attended. The owner of Made in Stroud founded the market. Made in Stroud showcases all of the artisans in the area. Food, art, books, home decor, clothing, jewelry, local Stroud bean to bar chocolate maker CocoCaravan. AND the owner actually wrote a book about the local artisans. This shop is a must see.
